I am active in the German and European Youth Movement working for environmental organisations like NAJU and YEE. In real life ;o) I work as a researcher on topics like climate change and tropical forests.

My activities / interests: I am interested in Environmental Sciences, especially Systems Analysis (which I also studied) as well as the role of forests in global climate change. And of course I spend a lot of time working on this platform for www.eurotope.net to bring young people from all over Europe together to network and to exchange ideas. I hope this will contribute to environmental protection in the long term, since people work stronger together.

A climate-friendly search engine?

Hey friends, I just read about the new search machine: http://www.ecocho.com/ This should be an alternative to Google, since for every thousand searches they commit to plant up to 2 trees. What "up to" means and if makes the search engine carbon neutral I do not know. Please test it and tell me what you think. Best Mika

hey mika..i want be participate also for environment for my town and big my hope for my country..but of course it's sooo hard!!i just know about the environment strated a year ago..i just learn it,try to learn...and try what i could.. i think all of things easier here if the environment problem go to policy and government really2 play role or optimal to take a part..yach.... you know here is developing country..
