Climate Action of the German youth delegation for Copenhagen

At the weekend of the 20-22. November the German youth delegation for Copenhagen (from the Youth Alliance for Future Energy) had their last preparatory team meeting for the Climate Conference. After the meeting they performed a street action in Bonn. Several team members lay on the pathway seemingly dead, while holding their personal memoriam notice in their hands. Instead of sarcasm, this action was performed to raise awareness on the consequences of climate change. Already today thousands of people are dying because of droughts, floods and other consequences induced or at least worsened by climate change. During the street action members of the German youth delegation for Copenhagen informed citizens on climate change and had interesting conversations. This action shows how creativity can create successful forms of protest and awareness raising without requiring any money or endless days of preparation.
