Hey friends,
Another busy day in Bali. Fortunatly it is moving forward. Since today the heads of states negotiate on the Bali Roadmap, which should be something like an actionplan for coming to a final agreement at last in 2009. Sounds theoretic, uh?

today was probably the most busy days for people at the conference working on forest and climate issues: the CIFOR Forest Day. There is a lot of exitement about a potential mechanism which would gratify the reduction of deforestation emissions called REDD (reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation). I am currently participating at the UNFCCC COP/MOP 13 in Bali, Indonesia for a German research institute. I hope to be able to report my impressions here from time to time during the next 10 days.
