J'ai le plaisir de vous inviter à participer à la Semaine du Climat et des Energies Vertes qui se tient à Lomé et Sotouboua, Togo, du 6-15 Février 2009.

L'objectif de cette semaine est de faciliter l'utilisation des applications des énergies vertes par les ménages togolais et encourager l'action politique dans le sens de la diffusion sans barrière des technologies énergétiques nouvelles. Cette occasion permettra également aux acteurs du solaire et autres formes d'énergies renouvelables de la sous-région ouest africaine et d'autres régions de renforcer leur cadre de collaboration.
Placée sous le thème: ' de l'énergie verte pour tous', ce grand rendez-vous des amis de la planète, offrira un cadre approprié d'échanges autour de la thématique de l'adaptation communautaire, alors que le monde s'apprête à boucler le cycle des négociations sur le climat relatives à l'après Kyoto.

J'aimerais vous inviter particulièrement à venir exposer vos produits et autres technologies prouvées ou en développement, lors de la FOIRE EXPO ENERGIVERT LOME (FEEL 2009). Cette foire, qui se déroulera sur la place des Expositions du Grand Marché de Lomé (au cœur donc de la ville), rassemblera les amis de 'l'énergie sans danger' de l'Afrique de l'Ouest et d'autres parties du monde du 11-15 février 2009.
Nous attendons une participation d'une cinquantaine d'exposants venus du monde entier et une audience de plus 5000 personnes.

Je vous tiens en annexe le document de base de cet événement et vous prie de bien vouloir nous faire parvenir la fiche d'inscription avant le 1er février 2009.
Comme vous le constaterez, l'organisation vous offre les stands gratuits, l'hébergement et la restauration (matin & midi), le transport local et ne laisse à votre charge que les frais de transport de votre pays d'origine jusqu'à Lomé. Une aubaine pour développer des partenariats et renforcer les relations d'affaires entres acteurs du secteur le plus prometteur au monde.

Dear Colleagues and solar friends,

the NGO Jeunes Volontaires pour l'Environnement, ENDA Tiers Monde, and the Togo Ministry of Mining, Energy and Water in partnership with Friends of the Earth-Norway (NNV) are happy to announce and invite you to the forthcoming CLIMATE AND RENEWABLE ENERGY WEEK, scheduled to take place in Lome and Sotouboua, Togo (West Africa), from 6-15 February 2009. This event is aimed at popularizing the use of the diversity of renewable energy products now available. One main part of this event, for which we particularly call for your participation is the FEEL 2009, the Green Energy Exhibition Fair, which will last 11-15 February, in the premises of the Exhibition Center of the Lome Big Market, that is indeed in the heart of the city. This event will draw about 50 differents exhibition groups and attract more than 5000 visitors.

This is a great opportunity for you to not only sell your products in the Togo new market as well as making business contacts and discovering new ways of overcoming current barriers we all face in these days.
Participants will have the chance to attend the Big Eco-Concert - have you ever tried green dancing? Visage émoticône - , a solar festival at the Beach of Lome, a Training Seminar on PV, an Exchange Workshop on the post-2012 climate regime as well as several other events.

We will be happy to provide you with accomodation including breakfast and lunch, local transport, and full media coverage. There will be no fees for the exhibition booth neither. All you will have to cover is your transportations costs to Lomé, Togo.

While we are still translating the background document in English, please take your time to fill in the registration form (see last page of the attached document) and send to us.
As stated in the document, we wil do our best to provide good translation so that you too can have a full share in the event. Registration Deadline is 1st February 2009.

All your ideas, suggestions and comments are welcome.

Please do not miss this unique opportunity to build partnership and strenghten your network in other parts of the world. Please note that as per our event, Renewable energy include, solar, wind, water (excluding large dams), biomass (wood, community-led agrofuels) as well as energy efficiency (electricity, transport, heating, construction) and biogaz. Applications of hydrogen are also welcome in the exhibition.

Thanks for your message. Its nice to have a contact with same interest person also. Yes its pretty challenging to work in papua (west papua especially). im not online often since i dont have my own internet connection but id like to keep in touch.

The Environment and Rural development Foundation (ERuDeF) is a Cameroon non profit organization workimg towards conserving wildlife and protecting fragile environments. ERuDeF also work on agro-forestry programs across the Western Cameroon Landscape and is looking forward to introduce a new program on climate change which is currently a global call for concern. Some of ERuDeF's international partner organizations are the World Wide Fund for Nature, Fauna and Flora international-UK, Born Free Foundation, Trees for the Future-USA and Food For All-USA.

My activities / interests
My current activties centres around biodiversity conservation. We work to protect the critically endangered Cross River gorilla (Gorilla gorilla diehli) which appears to inhabit only parts of South Western Cameroon and Nigerian Borders. My project site, the Lebialem-Mone Forest Landscape is not only rich in primates but also lodges plants and birds species endemic only to this landscape.
As of now my interest is focussed on sustainable development with emphasis on wildlife conservation.
